struggle to be one's self

i feel like my body has grown to fast for my mind,
i'm still a child at heart but life has left me behind.
forced to act older than i am, i'm sick of peer pressure,
not being myself just to satisfy other people's pleasure.
why are we judged as people by a set standard,
our bodies are free but our minds are stranded.
creativity is needed to set our minds free,
but we trapped in the system, it blinds us to see.
